On 11 June 2024, the Hon. Michael Kirby (former Chair of the UN Human Rights Council’s Commission of Inquiry on North Korea) visited Vienna for the purpose of talks on the follow-up to the report of the COI on North Korea. The engagements in Vienna included consultation with Ambassador of Republic of Korea to Austria, H.E. Ham Sang Wook; lectures at the Diplomacy Training Institute in Vienna; and meetings at the Parliament of Austria and in the Department of Foreign Affairs of Austria.
