The first podcast recorded on 4 March 2022, is a talk by the former High Court Justice, Michael Kirby, on “studying tips for anxious law students”.

In his talk, Michael Kirby describes techniques of studying and absorbing lectures on law that he learned when he was a student at the Law School of Sydney University (1958-62). He explains a cooperative arrangement by which he and the future Chief Justice of NSW and of Australia, Murray Gleeson, adopted. He also describes his “tree diagrams” by which he helped absorption of the vast materials in learning law by diagram summaries that isolated the concepts and elaborated the details of law and application.
