On 22 February 2022, Hon. Michael Kirby recorded an interview for international civil society to examine ways of following up the evidence given by victims concerning human rights violations and crimes against humanity in North Korea (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea). The testimony was given before a civil society tribunal chaired by Navi Pillay, former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights who initiated the establishment of the UN Human Rights Council’s Commission of Inquiry on DPRK which Michael Kirby chaired.
