Debate in the Human Rights Council of the United Nations in Geneva on 8 March 2017. At 1500 (3 PM) in the 34th session of the Council is the debate on the report to the UN Secretary General Of the High Level Panel On Access to Essential Medicines (2016). The debate includes

First Audio Extract:
interventions by the chair of the High-Level Panel ( Mme Ruth Dreifuss, past president of the Swiss Confederation) and; 

Second Audio Extract:
by a member of the High-Level Panel and chair of its expert advisory group ( Hon Michael Kirby).

A feature of the debate is the concluding statement by Mr Kirby, responding to the comments of several delegations for nation states and groups, including criticism of the report by the delegation of the United States of America.
