Thank you so much for your recent comments about public education. We require much more information regarding the federal funding imbalance between the public and private education sectors and hopefully your statements will motivate the relevant educational organisations to act along those lines and point to the facts rather than just attack private institutions without relevant figures.
Thank you for your outspokenness and concern for issues which affect so many of us. Issues, which may need to be addressed by high profile people such as you in order to be in order to remedy injustices in the system.

Dear Michael.
It was a great pleasure knowing you during your time as Chancellor of Macquarie University.
I treasure several letters that you wrote to me especially one received during my fight with breast cancer.
I am happy to report that I continue to receive positive reports each 6 months when I visit my medical team.
Take care, Robert

As someone who writes legal studies text books for school students studying years 11 and 12, I come have across your name often. I have always been inspired by your insight, common decency and consideration for the plight of others. I hope you are finding great satisfaction and enjoyment in your new life.

Your Honour,
You are truly an inspiration to myself and many others in the profession and one main reason I have begun studying law at the ripe old age of 32. Your dissenting judgments were always well founded and I can only hope to one day achieve the heights you have attained in an attempt to change a legal system which is so incredibly outdated and in need of reform. Hopefully now you can take up an alternative hobby other than "work"! All the best for the future and please return to UTS at some point in the future.

Dear Sir,
As a mature aged student of Law I have begun to gain a greater appreciation of the enormous legacy you have left for the Australian population in your arguments and deliberations. The High Court is a poorer place without you and your views. I wish you well in the next phase of your life and was sorry to have missed you in Darwin, where I now reside. Hopefully you can come back again. I am also a teacher and teach legal studies to high school students and often make reference to you and the fact that you have helped provide a balance, appreciation and understanding to law.
Yours sincerely
Regina Wilson
