Dear Michael and Johan, we were very glad to meet you both at the vernissage of Ross Watson. We visited Johan at your house on March 1st. 2010.
After our lunch with Johan in the Sydney Tower we visited your new office at Macquarie Street.
You are welcome in our house in Holland.
Greetings Bart & Age

At the end of last year, I heard you on the radio being interviewed by Latika Bourke and was happy to hear you say that one of your New Year Resolutions was to start using Twitter.
I just want to say that I'm so pleased that you have signed up with Twitter. You now need to send your first tweet - don't worry it doesn't have to be too profound - and it can't be any worse than Tony Abbott's first tweet.
Anyway, I have left a few tweets welcoming you to twitter and I am looking forward to receiving a tweet in response fairly soon. My twitter name is @RedGreenie5.
Kindest regards
Mimi la Belle

All I can say is "thank you", (former) Justice Kirby. Your words and actions have both helped and inspired me. Trail-blazers such as yourself give inspiration to gay men (and women) across our our great nation.

Thank you for all you have given - to our nation and indirectly to individuals, and for being such a great example for all. We hope you will never retire and continue giving speeches, teaching and doing all those things you do best. You are a man who really does deserve the honorific "Hon" before his name.

Aside from that, you will also be a great photographic example for a certain book on professional photography! We wish you all the very best.

Hi "Justice" Kirby, I say "Justice" as for me you will always be a "Justice". Thank you for all that you have done for the law in Australia.

As a law student I was inspired by your many judgements. It was an honour to have met you on numerous ocassions. Thank you for all that you have done for the Isaacs Law Society here in Canberra and for law students all over Australia.

You have been an inspiration both in the class and courtroom!

Dear Michael,
I hope you will excuse the familiarity, but I feel that in some other life, had I achieved my goals, I might have been graced with your friendship. Over your professional career I have admired your wisdom and dignity, and have no doubt those attributes will continue to enrich our society further. It is people like you who give me hope for humanity, and without whom I might have become a melancholic misanthrope entire, instead of just occasionally. So, thank you with all my heart Michael. I look forward to the rest of your career as a grand human being.
