Speech by the Hon. Michael Kirby on Wednesday, 22 February 2017 at The Moot Court of The Law School of the University of Technology, Sydney on the occasion of his launch of the book written by Dr Virginia Marshall, Aqua Nullius – relating to the application to the claims of indigenous Australians to legal recognition in respect of traditional laws governing access to water, involving the principle established by the High Court of Australia in Mabo v Queensland [No 2} (1992) 175 CLR 1 , together with the introductory talk by the author, Dr Marshall.
